Objectives

Speaker Objectives:

1. Critically evaluate the current scientific and clinical evidence supporting xenotransplantation as a strategy to address the organ shortage.

2. Analyze key immunologic barriers to successful xenotransplantation and the role of novel immune modulation strategies in overcoming graft rejection.

3. Compare emerging immune modulation approaches, including co-stimulation blockade, with conventional immunosuppressive regimens in terms of efficacy, safety, and translational potential.
