Description
Cardiovascular disease remains the foremost cause of death globally, accounting for approximately 17.9 million deaths in 2019, 32% of all global fatalities with myocardial infarction and stroke constituting 85% of these. Wearable technology represents a paradigm shift in cardiovascular health monitoring by facilitating continuous, real‐time physiological assessment and early disease detection.
Wearable Cardiac Devices is the topic of this week's OSUMC East Hospital Grand Rounds. Sampath Gunda, MD, Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine is the expert panelists in this MedNet 21 webcast moderated by Shengyi Mao, MD, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. This presentation will be available as an in-person presentation in Wallace Auditorium February 27 at 12:00 noon. Box lunches or lunch vouchers will be available to participants on a first-come basis.
