Presentation Blurb:
This study investigates if religion and spirituality influences patients' perspectives on noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for sickle cell disease among women with and without sickle cell disease in the United States. The authors provide an important context for the role religion and spirituality amid prenatal decision making, with the goal of facilitating more empathetic, equitable, culturally, and structurally responsive reproductive health care and its complicated overlap with sickle cell disease. *The data from this paper was collected at the National Institutes of Health (2020-2022), from Dr. Shameka Thomas' national dataset on NIPT and sickle cell disease*

Objectives
1. Investigating if religion and spirituality influences patients' perspectives on noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for sickle cell disease among women with and without sickle cell disease in the United States.
2. Assessing the context for the role religion and spirituality amid prenatal decision making and its complicated overlap with sickle cell disease
3. Discussing how we can conceptualize a reproductive health care for sickle cell disease, based on dynamics that are empathetic, equitable, culturally, and structurally responsive.
