Objectives

-Describe the scope and impact of mental health and addiction in the workplace across local (Ohio), national, and global populations, including the implications for population health, healthcare costs, and workforce sustainability.
-Differentiate between traditional benefits-based approaches and "beyond benefits" upstream strategies, including how work design, leadership practices, and organizational culture shape mental health outcomes for employees and patients.
-Apply One Mind at Work’s 3 Ps Continuum (Protect, Promote, Provide) and the Mental Health at Work Index to assess and advance evidence-based workplace mental health strategies within healthcare and other settings, including measurable approaches to leadership accountability, strategy, and reporting.
-Identify actionable next steps for clinicians, healthcare leaders, and organizations to develop formal mental health and addiction recovery strategies that connect upstream interventions to clinical outcomes, workforce retention, and return on investment.
