This grand round has already taken place.

The Ohio State University Medical Center East Hospital - Columbus, OH
June 5th, 2026
1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours

Description

Degenerative joint disease is often seen as a problem of the elderly, and arthroplasty is considered a panacea to treat kneel joints. It is estimated that 5% of the population aged 35–54 years has radiographic signs of knee osteoarthritis. Non-operative treatments may offer pain reduction, improved function, and slower progression of osteoarthritis.

Non-Arthroplasty Options for Osteoarthritis of the Knee is the topic of this week’s OSUMC East Hospital Grand Rounds. Anne Sullivan, MD, Associate Professor of Orthopedics, and Michael Baria MD, Professors of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, are the expert panelists in this MedNet 21 webcast moderated by Shengyi Mao, MD, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. This presentation will be available as an in-person presentation in Wallace Auditorium, June 52 at 12:00 noon. Box lunches or lunch vouchers will be available to participants on a first-come basis.
