Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Macular Degeneration.
The first half of this activity will cover the epidemiology of macular degeneration and dry macular degeneration. The second half of this activity will cover diagnosis and treatment of wet macular
degeneration.

Objectives
As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: REVIEW Characteristics of Age-Related Macular Degeneration; DISCUSS Modifiable Risk Factors that can Lead to Prevention of Disease; DEFINE neovascular macular degeneration; and DISCUSS the diagnosis and management of wet macular degeneration.

- Prognosis of macular degeneration
- Screening for macular degeneration in the primary care office
- Assessing risks when starting a patient on anticoagulation
