Objectives
At the conclusion of this continuing medical education activity participants will be able to: 1. Evaluate clinical trial data on treatment goals for managing hypertension. 2. Determine the causes and discuss the diagnosis of resistant hypertension. 3. Identify the interventions, including lifestyle changes and drug combinations, that are most appropriate for patients based on their risk profiles. 4. Discuss the screening, diagnosis and management of familial hypercholesterolemia and apply principles of management to daily lipid control. 5. Employ evidence-based strategies for prevention, screening and treatment of dyslipidemia in clinical practice. 6. Discuss lipid modifying effects of omega-3 and identify current and developing formulations of fish oil.Pricing
