Ross Heart Hospital - Columbus, OH
2 Day Conference September 15th - 16th, 2016
12.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours

Description

The 2nd Annual OSU Medical Ethics Conference planning committee has identified the following gaps in physician practice:

1. Audience members struggle with increasing ethical pluralism and disagreement in healthcare.  They need a framework to aid them in this struggle.
2. Audience members do not know how religion impacts medical care from a patient or physician perspective.
3. Audience members are challenged by competing cultural norms and visions.

The conference will be a live activity that will consist didactic presentations, case studies, round tables and extensive Q&A.
A post program evaluation will be the primary means to evaluate this activity.  At the completion of this conference, we will assess competence by asking audience members if they have; 1. Come to a greater understanding of the impact Faith and Culture have on medicine. 2. If they have acquired strategies to help face these challenges. will be able to identify at least one change that they can implement in their own practice.
