Objectives
-Explain the bidirectional relationship between sleep disturbance and mood disorders.
-Identify key polysomnographic and clinical measures used to measure sleep quality and architecture in patients with mood disorders.
-Interpret outcomes from a mechanistic clinical trial of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in patients with comorbid insomnia and depressive symptoms, including effects on neuroimaging, objective sleep, and mood measures.
