Objectives

- Participants will be able to describe current unmet needs for treatment of depression.
- Participants will be able to recount the serendipitous discovery of the antidepressant effects of intravenous ketamine and its subsequent off-label development and current use.
- Participants will be able to describe the indications for and current state of the evidence intranasal esketamine.
- Participants will be able to describe the development arc of psychedelics as investigational therapies for TRD and identify the key questions that must be resolved before they can be approved for treatment of MDD.
