Objectives

-Identify the dietary supplements with the strongest evidence base for adjunctive use in the treatment of major depressive disorder.
-Evaluate the quality and limitations of the current evidence supporting adjunctive dietary supplements in depression.
-Compare the efficacy, tolerability, and safety profiles of dietary supplements when used as adjunctive therapy with standard antidepressants.
-Apply practical clinical considerations — including dosing, drug interactions, product selection, and cost — when discussing adjunctive dietary supplements in psychiatric patients with depression.
-Learn appropriate wasy to counsel patients on the appropriate role of dietary supplements within a comprehensive treatment plan.
